When it comes to helping customers get the best packaging for their product, Chad Carmody is Prisma’s go-to guy. Clearly, not all packaging is equal, and no one knows that better than Chad.
His extensive experience and knowledge about proper packaging helped Prisma recently land a national DNA testing and genetic counseling facility. Chad, who has worked for Prisma for 4 years, helped the company develop the right kind of packaging for their DNA testing kits, which are mailed to customers who then mail them back.
“I was fortunate to help them with some packaging concepts, and the relationship has grown ever since,” Chad said. “Now we’re also handling the handwork and fulfillment of the kits.” That could turn into a substantial amount of work as the company just landed a contract with a large healthcare company, so the volume is expected to increase significantly.
What’s his playbook for success? For Chad, it’s a three-pronged approach:
1. Develop a trusting relationship with the client
2. Take a consultative approach to meeting their needs
3. Pay attention to details
6 Kids Keep Chad on the Go
Life can be hectic in the Carmody household, managing the individual needs of six children ranging in age from 20 to 10. “Their personalities run the gamut from brainiacs, to athletes to musicians … you name it,” says Chad of his brood.
But he and his wife of 22 years enjoy the chaotic lifestyle. Their best times are when all eight of them head to the mountains for a long weekend camping trip to unwind and spend quality time with each other.
Chad is also a runner having completed a number of marathons and a few triathlons. Which is not too surprising … he probably developed great skills chasing after six kids.
